TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel website, is cooperating with TCC Land to promote Bangkok's landmark Asiatique The Riverfront to the world, especially in China, offering a special page on, TripAdvisor's Chinese-language website.

Aaron Hung, director of partnerships for Asia-Pacific at TripAdvisor, said this was the first time it had partnered with a shopping-tourism destination.
“Chinese make up the largest number of inbound tourists to Thailand each year. This partnership will bring both of us benefits: We will get a lot more user-generated content, [such as] trip reviews, while Asiatique gets a lot more Chinese tourists,” Hung said.
He said the special page would do three things. It would help Chinese people better plan their trip; encourage tourists who visit Asiatique to write a review on TripAdvisor, facilitated by snap QR codes located around the shopping complex; and provide Bangkok city guides and information including traveller reviews and opinions on hotels, restaurants and attractions, as well as suggested itineraries and interactive walking tours, all easily accessible via smartphone.
Soammaphat Traisorat, chief executive officer of TCC Land, said it hoped to attract a lot more of tourists to Asiatique The Riverfront, who normally number around 10 million a year.
“Currently, the online channel is important for tourists to access reviews and plan their trips. This partnership with TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website, is a great opportunity to bring Asiatique The Riverfront to the next great step,” Soammaphat said.
Meanwhile, TCC Land has revised its investment in the property market by focusing more on rental income than developing homes for sale because the company believes that land prices look like going up in the future. Rental business will generate higher and longer-term income than residential development for sale, he said.
