Rattanathibet most popular

According to survey of 20 Greater Bangkok locations by the Agency for Real Estate Affairs, the most popular residential projects in terms of sales are on Rattanathibet Road.



The research covered projects that opened for presales last year.

The survey found that condominiums priced between Bt2 million and Bt3 million on Rattanathibet had the top sales rates, averaging 72.9 per cent of the monthly average of 642 units available. Condos costing between Bt3 million and Bt5 million had a monthly sales average of 62.4 per cent of 346 units.

Tiwanon Road was next, showing strong demand for condominiums priced between Bt1 million and Bt2 million, with sales of 64.9 per cent of the average of 518 units available per month.

Ratchayothin Road is another popular location, especially for condos priced between Bt1 million and Bt2 million, with 61.9 per cent of the average 660 units available per month being sold.

Bang Na-Trat Road Kilometres 1-10 saw sales of 50 per cent of the average 108 townhouse units priced between Bt1 million and Bt2 million.

Pathumwan district enjoyed good sales of condominiums priced between Bt5 million and Bt10 million, at about 42.8 per cent of the average monthly total of 368 units. Condos costing Bt3 million to Bt5 million here saw 39.9-per-cent sales of a monthly average of 138 units.

Chaeng Watthana Road saw sales of 41.3 per cent of a monthly average total of 391 units.

The survey found that most of popular locations were close to the mass-transit system, especially condominiums priced not over Bt5 million near the planned MRT Purple Line from Bang Sue to Bang Yai.
