Pruksa hits presale target early

Pruksa Real Estate has raised its presale target for this year from Bt41 billion to Bt45 billion as it has seen purchasing power for first homes grow.

Chief operating officer Lersuk Chuladesa said the current political turmoil had little impact on the first-home market.

He added that the company saw presales of Bt41 billion in the first 11 months, already hitting the full-year target.

Next year, Pruksa plans to launch 50 new residential projects worth Bt50 billion. That should boost its presales and revenue by more than 10 per cent compared with this year. Lower interest rates are expected to help drive sales, after the Bank of Thailand trimmed its policy rate to 2.25 per cent.

Currently, the company has a backlog of homes already sold and awaiting transfer to customers worth Bt45 billion. Of that, Bt16 billion will be transferred this year, and the rest over the next two years.
