Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth becomes the most wealthy stock investor in 2013, with total value of listed securities worth Bt37 billion.

He took over the top ranking from Thongma Vijitpongpun, the three-year champion (2010-2012), who is ranked the 5th this year, with the securities value of Bt25.45 billion which rose only 8.32 per cent during October 2012-September 2013.

According to a survey by Money Banking Magazine, ranked the 2nd is Keeree Kanjanapas, founder of BTS Group Holdings - the operator of Bangkok's Sky Train system. The total value of listed securities he owns was Bt34 billion.

Coming in the third is Pete Bodharamik of Jasmine International, Bt26 billion.

In the fourth place is Anant Asvabhokin, president of Land & Houses, with the securities value of Bt25.74 billion.

In terms of stock holding by Thai families, the Chirathivat family this year toppled the Maleenont family which had been ranked the top for 14 years. The Chirathivats’ stock holding is worth Bt66.7 billion, against Bt49 billion of the Maleenonts.
