Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra chaired a meeting of senior government officials in Hua Hin on Friday, seeking for their help in accommodating new government measures.

In her opening speech, Yingluck said that the government has in store a number of plans, designed to compliment its national agenda. Parts of this include the agricultural zoning and infrastructure investment.
She noted that permanent secretaries of each province should ponder what they can do and what help from the government they should seek.
For higher efficiency from the public sectors, she said statistics would be used in evaluating officials' performances.
The Cabinet last week agreed on a set of measures to boost the economy in the latter half, she said. This remains to be discussed in detail, how ministries can help in fostering short-term and long-term planning.
