Advanced Info Service and Nokia Siemens Networks extend their partnership, to cover the rollout of 3G services.

Through Flexi Multiradio Base Station,  AIS will be allowed to achieve a fast rollout and manage rapidly increasing traffic growth by providing more coverage and capacity simultaneously while preparing for a smooth migration to LTE (long term evolution) and improving the end-user service experience. The project brings together pre-integrated network elements and related professional services. NetAct, the market leading multi-technology, multi-vendor network management system supported by core network solutions, is also part of the deal.
“Implementing a 3G network is very crucial for us,” said Saran Phaloprakarn, vice president of Network Strategic Planning, AIS. “Nokia Siemens Networks has proven its expertise both technically and commercially throughout its partnership with AIS over the last 20 years. We needed a partner who understands our business, and could deploy and manage our network, enabling us to provide the best service to our growing customer base. Nokia Siemens Networks was the clear choice for us to roll out 3G services to the market.”
