Kesara Manchusree today hosted the first press conference after taking the presidency at the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

The 12th president, who took the new job on June 1, is pushing for the introduction of new products and services throughout her 4-year term, as well as expanding the investor base.
"The exchange would focus on the three directions, together with moves to improve the quality so that the exchange can be a reliable source of fund and become a leading capital market in the region," she said.
She envisaged the introduction of new products linked with commodity and debt instruments, which are popularly-traded overseas. The Thai bourse has so far banked on equity and debt securities.
Post-trade services will also be introduced to strengthen the linkage with overseas bourses, particularly regional ones.
