Hyundai's new Elantra Sport compact is all set to hit the road on August 9 as this year's biggest highlight in the firm's passenger car category.

Hyundai said in a teaser release that its latest C segment car would be competitively priced and have a premium equipment line-up to make it even more attractive to modern car buyers, adding newer features to the current conventional compact sedan market.
“Our price positioning reflects value for money – something that benefits our customers,” said Hyundai Motor (Thailand) president Hideki Yanagisawa. “With the Afta scheme, prices of the all-new and imported Elantra Sport will be more attractive, if not match the price levels of mainstream C segment sedans manufactured here in Thailand,” he revealed.
The 1,800cc Hyundai Elantra Sport, assembled in Malaysia, will feature the unique Flex Steer System for the first time in this class, along with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) and HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control), a navigation system, cruise control, a rain sensor, a dual-zone climate-control system with rear air vents and CleanAir, Supervision Cluster Dials and automatic HID projector headlights.
“The significant selling points of the new Elantra are its advanced and beautifully fluidic sculpture design, a large variety of equipment and features that exceed its class and, of course, pricing that will create a new perspective to the term ‘value for money’,” he added.
The company is inviting the public to check out some of the highlights in the August 1-7 pre-launch period at Hyundai showrooms nationwide. An exclusive “special pre-launch privilege” will be offered to customers who make an early booking.
