New Cruze to be unveiled at motor show

Chevrolet Sales Thailand (Chevrolet) will launch the new flex-fuel version of the Cruze at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show.

The new Chevrolet Cruze will be available for test drives at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show, which will be held from March 27 to April 7 this year. Launched in Thailand in November 2010, over 20,000 units have been sold. In 2012, the compact sedan led the brand with global sales of more than 755,000. This made it the best-selling Chevrolet nameplate around the world with nearly 1.9 million units sold since its launch in 2009.

"The Cruze has been an impressive performer in the Thai market as well. Its superior driving dynamics and luxurious design have made the car one of the most attractive sedans in the market. E85 capability makes the Cruze a Flex-Fuel Vehicle, or FFV. It becomes a part of Chevrolet's strategy to expand alternative fuel capabilities to all the vehicles in our range," said Martin Apfel, president of General Motors Southeast Asia Operations. "There are currently more than 100 E85 gas stations in Thailand, and more are expected in the future as consumers realize the benefits of this type of fuel. Ethanol is renewable, and it is ideal for a country that has to import its oil," he added.
