NBTC sells 7 sets of digital TV bid documents, so far
The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission sold bid documents for digital TV on Tuesday morning to seven companies.
According to NBTC vice chairman Natee Sukonrat, three of them will bid for standard-definition (SD) variety channels. Others show interest in bidding for other channels.
More companies should show up until the bid document-selling period ends on September 12, he said.
The document costs Bt1 million each.
Showing up in the morning session were Bangkok Broadcasting Television, Ch 7 operator; BBTV Sattelvision; Rose Media Entertainment; Post T; GMM HD Digital; GMM SD Digital; and Touch TV.
It was estimated that 38 potential bidders will show up in the upcoming auction of 24 commercial digital TV licenses.
