Six projects are now vying for financial supports from the general public through, one of a few crowdfunding websites in Thailand.

They include dance, movie, and stage drama projects.
According to Nathawut Paopreecha, chief executive of First Coin Co, the operator of Meefund, the website would soon feature more projects from different areas like animation and computer graphic.
In its quest to make the No.1 crowdfunding site in Asia in five years, the company also launched Meefund Early Starter 2016 Contest to draw creative projects. Five winning projects - Genius Chef by Chefutown, BIW Homeautomation, BBA Charity Concert 10, Shop to Give by Lyra Brand, and Stardy – are entitled to business advice and other supports from the site.
“This funding method is an essential tool in materialising creative economy and creative society,” Nathawut said.
The website was launched late last year.
