Manheim, a leading vehicle auction and remarketing company, is opening a new branch in Chiang Mai as it expands into northern Thailand.

The company is planning to serve the Asean Economic Community (AEC), as it looks to grow its business and further serve its customers throughout Thailand.
The new branch, scheduled to open on June 6, will offer two auction lanes for cars and motorcycles.
Apart from serving Chiang Mai customers, buyers nationwide can join the Chiang Mai branch’s auctions online. The Manheim Chiang Mai auction is the only multi-auction lane facility in Chiang Mai.
“Our new Chiang Mai branch offers full service for our customers in the North, as we also look to reach out to AEC-corridor customers,” said Manheim Asia-Pacific vice president Simon Moran.
Manheim has operated its vehicle auction and auto remarketing business in Thailand for more than ten years. The Chiang Mai branch is Manheim’s sixth in Thailand after Bangkok, Phitsanulok, Surat Thani, Nakhon Ratchasima and Chon Buri.
As Thailand ’s second-hand market continues to grow, Manheim aims to open more branches in the country this year, Moran said. “More will follow our Chiang Mai branch,” he said.
