Master Certified Used car (MCU), a subsidiary of Master Group Corporation (Asia), remains glued to the road despite a 30-per-cent sales drop in the first half of 2014 and is confident of selling more than 1,100 used vehicles this year, according to MCU ge
MCU is “deploying an all-out offensive strategy” to boost its used-car sales with a complete line-up in every segment and brand.
After achieving sales of 400 cars in the first five months of 2014, MCU expects to surpass its 1,100-vehicle annual sales target amid an economic slowdown and the current political situation – major sales and marketing campaigns will spearhead MCU’s initiative and its confidence in a major rebound for Thailand’s used-car market.
“MCU grew its business by 20 per cent when compared to last year during the first five months of the same period,” Somchai said. “Our positive gains have been achieved during the current political situation and rather stagnant economy, but it hasn’t really affected our business.”
Somchai then commented: “After evaluating the used-car market, we are confident that the demand for used cars is still positive. More importantly, MCU will differentiate itself from our competition with superior service and vehicle origin, which can be accounted for in regards to its true mileage and maintenance history. MCU has a unique 210-point inspection system and a warranty issued by MMS Bosch Car Service.”
A key highlight, he added, will be Aston Martin used cars sold by Zupercar at the Rama IV A-Square showroom, a division of MCU, which he claims is the only showroom of its kind to offer official aftersales service and quality warranties by the official Aston Martin Bangkok importer.
Somchai remains confident that the remaining seven months of 2014 will see a rebound in the used-car market – giving MCU the impetus to implement a major sales campaign in every used-vehicle segment and hence allowing the company to achieve its 1,110-vehicle sales target by year’s end.
