Honda has introduced a bi-fuel version of the City sub-compact priced from Bt659,000 to Bt706,000.

The Euro-4 City CNG features a factory-fitted CNG kit and comes with a 3-year/100,000km warranty. It also qualifies for the government’s First Car Buyer Programme.
“Honda is committed to producing vehicles that are powered by clean and alternative energy, which reflects our corporate environmental vision of ‘Blue Skies for Our Children’,” Honda executive vice president Pitak Pruittisarikorn said.
“It is also in line with Honda’s global efforts to reduce CO2 emissions by 30 per cent of year 2000 levels across all vehicle lines by 2020. Rising oil prices in the past several years have led to increasing concern by Honda about the rising expense burden on motorists, so we have developed a CNG system for the Honda City, which is one of our best-selling models.
“This latest model maintains all the unique design features of the City, a spacious area for optimum storage as well as its good performance and safety standards. It’s also the first 1.5-litre subcompact model that can run on either gasoline or CNG, making it an ideal choice that gives consumers the highest level of value. In addition, the City CNG is qualified for the first-car rebate of up to Bt100,000,” Pitak added.
