Hitachi Asia (Thailand) welcomes new MD
Hitachi Asia in March announced the appointment of Yasuo Mizutani as managing director of Hitachi Asia (Thailand) where he will assume responsibility for managing the Hitachi Asia Thailand operations, driving growth for its Social Innovation Business and building synergy among the Hitachi Group of Companies in Thailand.
Mizutani was formerly the Deputy Managing Director at Hitachi Asia (Thailand).
He will succeed Kazuo Karasawa, who after five years of leading the operations in Hitachi Asia (Thailand) will assume a leadership position in Hitachi as Head of Division, Sales & Marketing Division, Rails Systems Company, Hitachi.
"Thailand, which used to be positioned as one of the most important manufacturing base for Hitachi, is now a high potential market for us. It's also a hub region for the company in expanding and launching its business in neighbouring countries like Myanmar and Laos," noted Mizutani. "The country is a vital part of Hitachi Asia's operations and my immediate task is to ensure Hitachi's commitment to the market and to support Thailand businesses in a wide range of industries.
Mizutani joined Hitachi Sales Corporation in 1987 and after holding various supervisory positions in the company, he moved to Hitachi in 1995.
