Global software firm targets double-digit growth
SAS Software (Thailand) expects double-digit growth this year and is expanding its business to serve small and medium-sized enterprises through business partners.
It also will join forces with the Software Industry Promotion Agency (Sipa) to support local companies to develop new software packages and solutions for the global market.
SAS Software (Thailand) managing director Taveesak Saengthong said the company aimed to provide business solutions in three core areas - information management solutions such as master data management; customer intelligence such as marketing optimisation; and risk management solutions. These will enable enterprises and corporates to process their business with cost effectiveness and dramatic reduction in processing time through new offerings such as visual analytics and high-performance applications.
The firm will also cooperate with Sipa to provide its SAS virtual analytics software to 50 local software companies to develop new solutions and packages, such as hospital and healthcare solutions for the local and international markets.
He added that the firm last year enjoyed operational revenue growth of 70 per cent and expected double-digit revenue growth this year, too. It will also expand its business into healthcare, retail and utilities, as well as the oil-and-gas market.
"Last year we focused our business on banking, insurance, telecommunications and government. With the high potential of the market this year, we will reach out to new customer areas, including SMEs. We will provide our solutions via business partners such as Dell and HP," Taveesak said.
