Exhibition firms open offices in Bangkok
VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co and Asian Exhibition Services Co, professional exhibition management companies, have set up regional offices in Bangkok as they prepare to increase their presence in the region ahead of the launch of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.
Supawan Teerarat, director of exhibitions of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), said the office openings underscored Thailand's position as a hub for exhibitions in the region, with strong readiness in infrastructure and services for this industry.
TCEB is making a strong effort to promote the country as an exhibitions hub for the AEC. The bureau aims to boost exhibition traffic in the country by 10-15 per cent per year.
