Energy policies undisrupted: Pongsak
Energy Minister Pongsak Ruktapongpisal said Monday that the House dissolution would not affect the operations at the ministry
He said that the National Energy Policy Council still can convene to monitor launched policies which include the solar rooftop project and the reviewed Power Development Plan (PDP). Though, it has no legal power to approve new policies.
He said that the interim government would be in office for about 80 days, waiting for the formation of the next government.
Energy Permanent Secretary Suthep Liumsirijarern noted that officials at the ministry would proceed with their operations, particularly on issues that involve the public - like electricity security, fuel prices as well as energy price restructuring.
