Allied Telesis, a Japanese-headquartered network infrastructure and telecommunications company, expects to achieve revenue growth of 30 per cent by the end of next year as it expands into digital signage solutions.
Teerayut Hongkananukraw, country manager of Allied Telesis (Thailand), said that digital signage solutions would support companies in terms of business information and advertising.
Teerayut said that Allied Telesis would focus on banks and manufacturers who wanted to provide information to their branches and monitor the production process via digital display screens. Through digital signage, multimedia data could be displayed on screens such as LCD and plasma TVs.
He said this approach was ideal for private and government sector entities that wanted to show their data and audio-visual media in a digital format via a high-performance network that connected all multimedia data to their branches or offices.
Allied Telesis has teamed with Tripleplay Services, a UK-based global digital signage solutions firm, to provide digital signage products to Asia-Pacific.
Allied Telesis’ four main areas are Internet switching, wireless solutions, routers and CCTVs, and IP surveillance solutions. Its distributors are Avantgarde and Nine Distribution.
Teerayut said that high-speed Internet and 3G networks were playing an important role in encouraging more businesses and organisations to utilise new solutions and information technology.
