Honda has opened the Honda KidZania Showroom and Honda Safety Driving School at KidZania Bangkok, the first "edutainment town" for youth on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon.
Honda recently staged the “Honda KidZania Exclusive Launch” for dealers as well as customers and their families. At KidZania, children can have fun playing roles in a virtual working and living environment of more than 80 occupations, which will inspire them to explore their potential via actual experiences.
“Honda is the world’s leading firm which originated from the power of dreams and the inspiration of Soichiro Honda, who was very determined to develop innovations to offer the joy of mobility to more people,” said Honda executive vice president Pitak Pruittisarikorn. “We have always focused on creating and supporting activities that inspire Thai youth to pursue their dreams and make them come true. The launch of the Honda KidZania Showroom and Honda Safety Driving School at KidZania Bangkok is part of our youth promotion activation, as the development of people’s potential has been our priority for several decades. The initiative provides education about the automotive world in an informative and fun way.
“The Honda KidZania Showroom demonstrates a Honda dealership for children to experience the adult role of being a sales consultant. They will also learn about the exterior and interior features of the car displayed, use their creative thinking to design cars and, at the Honda Safety Driving School, learn safe driving practices. The role-playing function will connect children to their environment and boost the positive development of habits and behaviours, enabling them to apply the experience they have acquired to their daily living,” he said.
If you’re a Honda customer, simply show your Honda car keys and you will get a 10-per-cent discount on ticket prices.
_ The Honda KidZania Showroom gives children an opportunity to learn about the features of a Honda model on display before they experience a sales consultant’s role. The small Honda showroom also has a car-design area where children can design Honda CR-V and Brio models in their own styles with 360-degree computerised solutions. Children can put their names on their designs and print them to fold into souvenir miniature cars when they get back home.
_ The Honda Safety Driving School is an initiative that provides safe driving courses including driving rules and regulations and road etiquette through a simulator with a maximum driving speed of 80 km/h, supervised by an instructor. Children will receive a “driving licence” if they pass the simulated driving test. They can also drive a CR-V and Brio around a circuit.
