PTT to aid NGV vehicle owners in South during shutdown

PTT has devised measures to help NGV vehicle owners in the South deal with its closure of NGV production in the Thailand-Malaysia Joint Development Area in Songkhla province from June 13 to July 10 for maintenance work.

There will be a supply shortfall of 420 million cubic feet per day of natural gas for vehicles during the shutdown period.

PTT fears the shortfall could affect 4,400 NGV-using vehicles in the lower part of the southern region.

The company is prepared to reserve 50 tonnes of NGV gas per day to ease the situation, of which 35 tonnes will be supplied by its main station in Samut Prakan province.

NGV consumption in the South normally is between 180 tonnes and 190 tonnes per day. This is supplied by PTT's 14 retail stations, of which five are in Nakorn Si Thammarat province, five in Songkhla and four in Surat Thani.

ThaiNamthip in Coke tie-up with Thai Agro Exchange

ThaiNamthip, Coca-Cola's largest bottling partner in Thailand and the country's leading non-alcoholic beverage manufacturer and distributor, has formed an official three-year partnership with Thai Agro Exchange, the operator of Talaad Thai, Southeast Asia's largest total-agricultural market.

Under the partnership, ThaiNamthip will be the only exclusive partner to sell sparkling beverages of The Coca-Cola Company at Talaad Thai.

In addition, ThaiNamthip will invest in a marketing budget during this three-year agreement to support drinking shops at Talaad Thai, in order to help grow their business.

Under this partnership, which commences next month and continues to April 2017, ThaiNamthip and Talaad Thai will work together to enable drinking shops at Talaad Thai to expand their business, ranging from offering a variety of sparkling beverages under The Coca-Cola Company - Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes and A&W Root Beer - through ThaiNamthip's highly efficient distribution channel.

This will provide them with selling strategies and point-of-sale materials supported by Coca-Cola's world-class standard; business consultancy and training; assisting their sales with promotional and marketing activities; as well as research of shop and consumer behaviours and providing feedback for business development and improvement.

All of these activities will be managed under ThaiNamthip's marketing budget.
