Bodhi Tree wall coverings reflect individual personalities

IN JUST three years, Bodhi Tree has become a leading brand in custom-made wallpaper, wall coverings and wall art.

Like many people, Cholakarn Visutipitakul could not find wallpaper for her home in her favourite colours and designs in the market. That inspired her to create customised wallpaper that would reflect people’s individuality and character in their homes.
After 13 years of experience as a brand-building professional at an advertising agency, Cholakarn eventually decided to establish her own business, Bodhi Tree Decor Co, and launched her wallpaper at BIG & BIH (Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair) in 2011. 
Thanks to its unique concept and design, Bodhi Tree has been widely recognised by interior designers and property developers who look for creative ideas that add a personal touch to walls.
Cholakarn said Bodhi Tree was now popular among hotels, spas, hospitals and Thai restaurants both at the Kingdom and in foreign countries. Thai restaurants in 18 countries including the United States, European nations, Japan and Australia have been decorated with Bodhi Tree wallpaper to create expressive interior environments. Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok also chose Bodhi Tree wallpaper for its makeover.
“Lifestyles and preferences are unique to each person, so home decoration is something that truly reflects your unique personality and character. We’ve created extraordinary wallpaper that does more than just cover the wall, but also enhances your dwelling with sensational and emotional touches throughout your living space,” she said.
Standard wallpapers are imported from China, the United States, Korea and Europe. As mass-market products, they cannot reflect exactly what each customer is. Similar to fashion, home furniture and even luxury cars, custom design is a trend to meet modern lifestyles.
“Bodhi Tree is regarded as the first in Asia to offer bespoke wallpaper and wall coverings that perfectly fit your wall space. It’s not just wallpaper, it’s your personalised wall design,” Cholakarn said.
In addition to wallpaper and rolling blinds, Bodhi Tree has lots of ideas in the pipeline to personalise interior designs of both residential and commercial spaces. 
Cholakarn added that this year, the company would emphasise online marketing as an effective sales tool. Bodhi Tree provides information via its website, Facebook, Pinterest and Instragram, allowing customers to download a catalogue for consideration before making their order. 
She chose the name Bodhi Tree to reflect a strong, giant tree with sprawling branches. 
In the future, she aims to strengthen Bodhi Tree as a leading brand with an obvious character similar to the success of the Jim Thompson brand.
