Act now, against corruption
The Anti-Corruption Organisation of Thailand today hosts the annual anti-corruption campaign.
At the "Act Now" event, Pramon Sutivong, chairman of the organisation, said that corruption is aggravating in Thai society without the government’s serious attention in tackling it. Meanwhile, some civil servants assist in return for money. While the private sector has to play along, there is a lack of courage among the media in digging the truth.
"Despite the government’s commitment against corruption, there is no concrete plan to tackle it or punish the wrongdoers," he said. He also suggested the government to close the loopholes in government projects which pave way for corruption.
