Acer ramps up marketing activities in Indochina

Acer Computer has budgeted Bt300 million for marketing in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, as well as to spearhead a marketing campaign for the whole Indochina region.



Nithipat Praweenwongwuthi, associate director of marketing, said Acer Computer planned to expand and strengthen its business in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Its Thai unit will be the regional hub.

This year, revenue from the whole Indochina region is expected to grow by 25 per cent. To achieve the goal, the company will use the two mechanisms, namely marketing and service, with Acer Thailand leading the way.

He said Acer had realised the importance of presale and after-sale service, which could contribute to customer loyalty and business growth.

"That’s why Acer is committed to developing a comprehensive range of services that properly address customer requirements, as this is part of Acer’s core strategy to drive long-term business growth."

Acer Service is set to become a business hub in Indochina. It will enhance its skills and capabilities, improving its services for both consumers and businesses.

Currently, Acer has 11 service centres it operates itself, 28 Acer-authorised service centres and 470 Acer service centre network nationwide.

Preecha Suppapanya, service director at Acer Computer, said Acer Thailand would become a hub for the Indochina region, and the most important thing was its service standards and potential. The company has therefore equipped its technical resources with expertise in both hardware and software through intensive training.activities
