Police forced to leave Government House

Protesters late Thursday night forced all policemen to leave the compound of the Government House.

All policemen left the compound at 12:48 am Friday.

At 12:20 am, Amorn Amornratananon told Col Uthasin Ritruandej, commander of Metropolitan Police Division 1, to order all policemen to leave the compound.

After the police did not leave, protesters formed a line by holding hands and walked towards police, prompting police to raise their shield to protect themselves.

About 300 policemen were forced by the protesters to retreat and leave the compound through Gate 4.
