Information and Communications Technology Minister Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom said his ministry had blocked access to pro-Thaksin web sites for security reasons.

He said some web sites clearly encouraged pro-Thaksin supporters to go out into the streets. He described such encouragement as dangerous.

Sitthichai said the blockade would remain in place at least until the verdict came out.
