Thai exports up 18.4% at US$11.23 bn
Thailand posted a customs-based trade surplus of US$1.12 billion in February on continuing strong exports growth despite the strong baht, according to Commerce Minister Krirkkrai Jirapaet.
Exports in February rose by 18.4 percent to US$11.23 billion, while imports increased by 3 percent at US$10.10 billion, Krirkkrai said.
Customs-based exports in January expanded 17.7 percent to US$10.49 billion, while imports rose 2.4 percent to US$9.61 billion, resulting in US$880 million trade surplus.
