Women being wooed into drugs trade: police
Police deputy spokesman Anucha Romyanan Tuesday urged Thai women to beware of African drug traffickers who he said were luring them into romantic relationships and then using them as drug mules.
Citing a Foreign Affairs Ministry report that 109 Thai women were arrested for drug smuggling overseas last year - most of them in Brazil, Bahrain, Taiwan and China - he warned that many African drug dealers were using clothing and jewellery businesses as a cover for their activities.
