Junta deputy spokesman Con Winthai Suvari urged netizens to cancel the planned rally at Siam Paragon on Saturday to demand tougher laws against rapists.

Winthai said the netizens should instead send their representatives to submit their demand to junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha.
Netizens want the law to be amended to make death penalty mandatory for all rapists and want State Railway of Thailand Governor Prapat Chongsanguan to resign.
Winthai said the rally could not be held because the martial law is still in place. He added that junta would consider the calls of the netizens.
