Wall St ends up

U.S. stocks closed up on improved labour market with the Dow Jones Industrial Average ending up for 6th straight session, gaining 122.33 points, or 0.8 percent, at 16,479.88.

S&P 500 added 8.7 points, or 0.5 per cent at 1,842.02, with energy and consumer discretionary leading sector gains.

Nasdaq composite hits its highest level since Sept. 1, 2000 at 4,167.17, up 11.76 points, or 0.3 percent.
