Wall St ends up

U.S. stocks reversed earlier losses to close up for third-straight session ahead of corporate earnings week and amid hope for U.S.debt ceiling deal.

Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 62.51 points, or 0.46 per cent, to close at 13,712.21.

S&P 500 rose 6.58 points, or 0.44 per cent to end at 1,492.56.

Nasdaq composite added 8.47 points, or 0.27 per cent at 3,143.18.

Most key S&P sectors finished higher, led by banks and materials, while technolgy shares ended in the red.
