Wall St ends near lows

U.S. stocks dropped sharply for a second session overnight, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq incurring biggest losses in nearly five weeks, as budget deal in Washington raised speculation that Federal Reserve could pull back stimulus program soon.

Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 129.60 points, or 0.81 per cent, to close at 15,843.53.

S&P 500 dropped 20.40 points, or 1.13 per cent, to 1,782.22.

Most key S&P sectors were in the red, on healthcare and materials stocks.

Nasdaq composite fell 56.68 points, or 1.40 per cent, to 4,003.81.
