Wall St ends mixed

U.S. stocks closed mixed as stocks struggled to extend January rally for another session.

Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 14.05 points, or 0.1 per cent at 13881.93.

S&P 500 fell 2.78 points, or 0.18 per cent at 1500.18.

Among S&P sectors, materials dropped, while technology and telecom shares gained.

Nasdaq added 4.59 point, or 0.15 per cent at 3154.30.
