Wall St ends down

All three major U.S. stocks indexes fell over 1 per cent across the board as investors remained concerned over Italy’s election results.

S&P 500 broke below 1,500 and the Dow dropped over 200 points, retreating from its new multi-year high

Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 216.40 points, or 1.55 per cent to close at 13,784.17.

S&P 500 fell 27.75 points, or 1.83 per cent to 1,487.85.

Nasdaq fell 45.57 points, or 1.44 per cent to 3,116.25.

All key S&P sectors finished firmly in the red, led by financials and energy.
