Victims of fund scam seek help
The number of victims of the Standard Morgan (Thailand) scandal has reached 1,311 and they have reported combined losses of Bt454 million, said a lawyer.
Lawyer Pramarn Luangwatanapanich said that he has been approached by 1,311 individuals who have put investment into the companyâ€™s investment fund.
On Wednesday, he and over 100 victims showed up at the Department of Special Investigation, rushing the agency to speed up its investigation.
On September 4, the DSI named 9 individuals involved with the fund. The DSI investigation showed that Standard Morgan (Thailand)'s fund has mobilised about Bt1 billion during July 2012 and August 2013.
