Los Angeles - The Irish rock band U2 will perform its Oscar-nominated song Ordinary Love during the Academy Awards ceremony on March 2, the Academy announced on its website Wednesday.
Lead singer Bono, 53, and the rest of the band will perform Ordinary Love, written for the movie Mandela: Long walk to Freedom.
The song is nominated in the category original song.
It will be the first time U2 performs the song live, according to the announcement.
The three other Oscar-nominated songs are: Happy from Despicable Me2, Let It Go from Frozen and The Moon Song from Her.
U2 won a Golden Globe for Ordinary Love in January.
