Two policemen seriously injured in Pattani ambush

Pattani - Insurgents detonated a roadside bomb to ambush a police patrol unit, severely injuring two officers Tuesday.

The explosion occurred on the Mayor-Yarang Road in Koh Chan village in Tambon Koh Chan of Mayor district at 10 am.
Pol Cpl Atithep Sangthong, 31, and Pol L/C Rusdee Johdoloh, 22, were severely injured. They were rushed to the district hospital before they were forwarded t the Pattani hospital.
The two were riding their motorcycle, leading a police patrol car to inspect the road when insurgents detonated the bomb with a walkie-talkie radio.
