Two defence volunteers killed in Yala ambush
Yala - Two volunteers were killed in an ambush by insurgents when they were heading to a temple to escort monks to collect alms Sunday morning.
The two were identified as Suphat Inthanok and Ronachit Praiduang. They died of sustained injuries at the Yala Hospital.
Police said the two were riding a motorcycle to Weruwan Temple when insurgents opened fire at them on a road in Muang district at 6:10 am.
Insurgents also took away their AK-47 assault rifles.
