Troops handed over former Pheu Thai MP Prasit Chaisisa to police Thursday for legal action against him for an alleged lese majeste comment.

Prasit was brought from the Weerawat Yothin Army camp in Surin at 5am and handed over to officers at Chokechai police station in Bangkok.
He was taken to the Criminal Court at 12.10pm for the court to approve the 12-day extension of his detention pending his arraignment over the lese majeste charges.
His wife and daughter turned up at the police station to be close to him.
