Thammasat allows Article 112 campaigns in campus
The executive committee of Thammasat University Monday decided to allow campaigns for amendment of Article 112 of the Criminal Court to resume in its campus.
The university earlier banned the Article 112 campaigns on its campus for fear of political violence.
The board Monday resolved to allow the campaigns but organisers of the campaigns must ensure that activities must be conducted within the legal framework and must not allow provocation of violence between people with different opinions.
The board also announced that if any activity in the university campus appears to create confrontation and violence, the university would take certain measures to prevent violence.
