Thai e-passports free from forgery: Foreign Ministry

Thailand's e-passport, which was first introduced in 2005, has no history of being forged thanks to an advanced security system and the adherence to international standards, Foreign Ministry's Consular Department said Thursday.

People should have confidence in the e-passports, the department said, adding that more than 10 million e-passports have been issued to date and there have been no reports of their becoming targets of any forgery ring.
