Suthep postpones charity dinner

Leader of People's Democratic Reform Committee Suthep Thaugsuban on Wednesday decided to postpone his charity dinner to help injured demonstrators during the protest against the ousted Yingluck Shinawatra government.

The reasoning behind the postponement, notice of which was posted on his Facebook wall, was that the event might not be in line with the martial law and orders issued by the National Council for Peace and Order. The dinner was originally scheduled for June 14 at Pacific City Club. Refunds for the tickets, each priced at Bt10,000, were available, he said.
