Suspects in rape/robbery of Russians presented
National Police chief Pol General Adul Saengsingkaew joined Russian Deputy Consul-General Alexey Budanov in a press conference Wednesday to discuss the arrest of three men accused of raping, assaulting and robbing two Russian women at a reservoir in Bang Lamung in Chon Buri late on December 26.
The suspects - Wichian Jaija, 35, Thongchai Jandee, 20 and Anuwat Waton, 32 - were presented along with a Toyota Mighty X pickup truck allegedly used in the attack, a homemade gun and bullets, 50 keys and the clothing the suspects reportedly wore on the day of the attack. The evidence against them includes DNA found on the victims' clothing and blood from the victims reportedly found in the truck, police said.
