Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul Thursday denied that caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra would skip the next election.
Surapong said reports, which stated that Yingluck and members of the Shinawatra family would not contest the next election as part of deal with the opponents, were not true.
Surapong said the reports were made up to incite hatred against the Shinawatra family.
He said the Shinawatra family had no need to hold a secret negotiation with Suthep Thaugsuban, secretary general of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee, as reported.
Beside Suthep always dismissed proposals of the government for fear that the Pheu Thai would win the next election again.
