Student in security guard beating surrenders to police
The Ramkhamhaeng University student, who allegedly led six friends in a brutal assault on a security guard over a parking dispute on Sunday, surrendered to police Wednesday night.
Saying he would not testify to police but only in court, 23-year-old Panjapol Tuenpakdi was refused bail and remains in police custody.
A third year student at the Business Administration Faculty, Panjapol turned himself in at Hua Mark police station at 11pm Wednesday, responding to a warrant issued after the assault of security guard Thawichart Soimas, 52. The attack was also captured in images and published on Facebook.
Panjapol, the owner of a Chevrolet car at the centre of dispute, was identified by Thawichart on Wednesday as his attacker, leading to the issuing of the warrant.
