Street art event to lure tourists back to Ratchaprasong

Business operators in Bangkok’s busy Ratchaprasong shopping district will launch a "Living Arts Festival 2014" next month to draw both local and foreign tourists to the formerly protest-plagued zone.

"Living Arts Festival 2014@Ratchaprasong" runs from May 2 through June 8 and is aimed at restoring confidence among tourists, Thai News Agency reported.

The event is a collaboration between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the private sector, and is being promoted as Ratchaprasong's trademark event.
