Songkran road death toll rises to 277 after six days

The accumulated death toll of road accidents during the first six of seven Songkran dangerous days rose to 277, the Road Safety Directing announced Thursday.

It said 2,754 road accidents happened from April 11 to 16, and 2,926 others were also injured.

On Wednesday, the sixth day of the seven-day monitoring period, 273 accidents happened, killing 29 people and injuring 283 others.
