Senators to implement contingency plans

A working group of senators vowed Monday to go ahead with contingency plans now that their initial plan to have the caretaker government resign has failed.

The working group held a press conference in the evening after holding a meeting. The press conference was held by Phirasak Phorjit, Somchai Sawaengkarn, and Wanchai Sonsiri.

"Since the government insisted that it would not resign, the meeting decided to go on with the second and third plans," Wanchai said, declining to elaborate.

He added that the contingency plans would be implemented without cooperation from the government.
