Senator proposes members of upper chamber, independent organisations resign
Phatthalung Senator Charoen Phakdeewanich Friday proposed that senators and members of all charter-sanctioned independent organisations should resign once a new charter is enacted.
He said after the new charter takes effect, all new senators should be elected and new independent organisations should be appointed under rules of the new charter.
Charoen was speaking during the debate of charter amendment bills, which continued for the second day Friday.
