Runaway pro-red activist Sombat detained

Pro-red and anti-coup activist; Sombat Boonngam-anong was detained on Thursday night in Chon Buri province for allegedly resisting an order to report to the military junta to report himself.

Maj Gen Pisit Pao-in, advisor to ICT permanent secretary said Sombat was nabbed at a house in Chon Buri's Panthong district.

The arrest was made by a joint operation of police, army and National Intelligence Agency. Sombat, known as Nuring, was then put to a military camp for questioning.

Sombat refused to report to the junta and during the fleeing, he posted on his FB, "Catch me, if you can."

He last night posted again, saying "I'm already arrested."
